IDA’s Annual Conference & Marketplace will take place in Toronto, ON, September 1-3, 2026 and is the premier educational gathering for professional place managers and urban champions around the globe. Attendees will gain actionable insights and tools to help strengthen vital urban centers and commercial neighborhoods.
Tours are planned around the urban place management domains created by IDA subject matter experts to recognize the various roles of a professional place manager and how those roles inspire places that anchor the well-being of towns, cities and regions around the globe.
Tours conducted by local district experts provide an insiders’ perspective of the city for the conference attendee and time to experience Toronto, ON's emerging areas, cultural heritage, and active world-class development. This is your opportunity as the local expert to lead a tour and showcase your area and the great work you are doing. You will also gain insight and expertise from attendees across North America on how they may view your challenges and opportunities you are facing. Attendees pre-register for these tours when they register for the conference.
When filling out your application, you will be asked to identify your top choices of tour time. Note, tours will not overlap conference general session or lunch hour on Wednesday and Thursday. Tour times are inclusive of travel time.

Deadline: Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at 11:59PM ET. Submissions received after that date may not be considered. To get started, please complete the form above.
