Urban place management professionals are at the forefront of significant change throughout metropolitan areas around the globe. For downtowns and city centers to thrive, collaboration between staff, board members, consultants, elected officials, thought leaders and citizen advocates is vital. The IDA Inspired Leader Award honors individuals who have shown clear achievements in recent years, addressing a broad range of issues.
This award aims to recognize leaders within the IDA community who have made an impact on how people live, work and play in cities during the most recent 3 years. IDA will recognize individuals in two categories for 2026: emerging and tenured professionals, based on years in the industry.
- Emerging Professionals: Up to 10 years in the industry
- Tenured Professionals: More than 10 years in the industry
Self-nominations will not be accepted.
Nominate your peers to elevate their outstanding work and those external champions for their contributions to the place management industry. Winners will be highlighted on downtown.org along with being recognized during the Annual Conference & Marketplace.
